Who We Are

I, Forrest Shattuck, of Golden Wood Bows, became interested in crafting traditional all wood  bows (self bows) about 15 years ago. I've crafted many self bows over the years from various types of wood, but my favorite wood is the beautiful golden colored wood, Osage Orange (bois d'arc, i.e., wood of the bow). It is my belief that crafting a beautiful, properly balanced, highly functional self bow requires not rushing the process. Each bow that I craft is a reflection of my character and reputation, which is of great importance to me. 100% satisfaction is my guarantee.
